Quality Assurance is an ESSENTIAL part of consistently producing great results.
The American Society for Quality defines QA as:
"The planned and systematic activities implemented in a quality system so that quality requirements for a product or service will be fulfilled.” The goal of QA is to assure that the products and services we deliver meet or exceed the demands of our customers.
Pre-Stocking Procedures:
- Check cosmetic appearance
- Open chassis and inspect all internal components
- Check power supply and fan
- Check interface card slots
- Check flash and DRAM memory
- Check firmware and software
- Check power On/Off switch
- Check power indicator lights
- Check fan noise
- Check console cable connectivity
- Run System Test 1 to ensure no errors
- Record flash, DRAM, NVRAM and shared memory sizes
- Check firmware and software versions
- Clean system board and fan assembly
- Clean chassis exterior
- Include rack mount kit and console cable
- Include CD documentation
- Input Serial #’s in database with description of condition
- Custom package with System Test 1 results, and stock the unit.
